great show. reminds me very much of City of Gold (old-school anime on nick) for some reason. (maybe just the anime/ nickelodeon connection.)
also known as the mysterious cities of gold.
Bump. For those of you looking for torrents, they're right over here:

They have all four current episodes available for download. Get cracking!
Exactly what I was waiting for. Thank you, kind sir.
[edit] Uh, wow. Their site isn't looking too hot right now.
Yeah, apparently there was a site loading problem. It's been since solved, though, I believe.Quote:

Anyone with the free time tonight: There's a marathon airing for the show tonight on Nick, starting at 8:00 PM eastern with the first episode and ending with a brand-new one. Swank.
It's been okay so far, the main problem I have is that they don't seem to know how to balance the action with the humor so it all just comes off as a cartoony kids show (and yes, I know it is, but with some adjusting it could work on a much larger range). Only one fight so far has had any weight to it and it was also probably the most meaningless of all the confrontations, most of them are just too goofy to take seriously. The scripts are also amazingly typical and we've already reached a point where I can tell how each scene will play out once it starts, which isn't helped by how it seems that we've already reached filler episodes. This could all be ignored if the characters were good (like, say, Teen Titans) but so far they're almost all stereotypes.
On the other hand, the animation is quite good and it's too early to tell if my negative comments towards the writing will stick. Maybe it'll just take time for the series to hit its stride, either way I hope the new episode is good.
They also need more of the old Fire Nation uncle, he's easily the best person on the show. I realize he's not evil per se (at least not as much as our brash, young, must-kill-for-honor overreacting numbskull with a Mario Bros. fireball scar on his eye, anyway) but if he was the main villian it would probably make for a more entertaining show. He's been the only one to make me laugh. He should also kill the good guys comic relief, that bastard is annoying as hell.
Nick just had a two-hour block of the first four episodes, so now I'm caught up. Definitely a good show, and the Fire Nation uncle is awesome (voiced by Samurai Jack's Aku - Mako). I'll be looking forward to Episode 5 next week.
I watched the minimarathon, and it was pretty good. A lot more than I would've expected coming out of Nick these days. The action was cool, I'm a sucker for acrobatic characters, so I liked the main kid, he had some cool moves in the boat episode.
I will say this though, I do not like the name of the show at all. Avatar...The Last Air Bender. It think it's the "Airbending" part that I think sounds stupid. Either way I don't like it. Furthermore, I really hate the way the main kid looks. Bald head with a blue arrow pointing down on his face, very lame.
On a positive note, there was a scene in an episode where the kids arrive in a town, a little girl sees him and tells her fisherman father, who tells the fish salesman who tells his customer who tells his chief who tells the shows bad guy as he's about to eat the fish. That scene impressed the hell out of me.
