Only one fight so far has had any weight to it and it was also probably the most meaningless of all the confrontations, most of them are just too goofy to take seriously. The scripts are also amazingly typical and we've already reached a point where I can tell how each scene will play out once it starts, which isn't helped by how it seems that we've already reached filler episodes. This could all be ignored if the characters were good (like, say, Teen Titans) but so far they're almost all stereotypes.
On the other hand, the animation is quite good and it's too early to tell if my negative comments towards the writing will stick. Maybe it'll just take time for the series to hit its stride, either way I hope the new episode is good.
They also need more of the old Fire Nation uncle, he's easily the best person on the show. I realize he's not evil per se (at least not as much as our brash, young, must-kill-for-honor overreacting numbskull with a Mario Bros. fireball scar on his eye, anyway) but if he was the main villian it would probably make for a more entertaining show. He's been the only one to make me laugh. He should also kill the good guys comic relief, that bastard is annoying as hell.
