No, but actually, I believe this woman is claiming that our troops fired on her because we disapproved of Italy's choice to pay a ransom to her captors in order to free her (Italy, and other European countries, will negotiate with kidnappers). Absurd. It's being trumped up because the Italian left wants to force Berlusconi to pull the troops.
THis was probably a whole ploy to get Italy's troupes pulled out of Iraq.
I'm sure the CIA went around to every US Army checkpoint in the area and told them to light up any cars they suspected may have Italians in them. If we wanted to kill her I'm sure she'd be dead. If as much rounds she claimed were fired there wouldn't be too much left of the vehicle considering there was probably some .50 caliber machine gun rounds fired.

I believed they only fired at the engine block to disable the vehicle. That's certainly no 300-400 rounds though.
