Seriously, she's been writing bad about the Americans for years now since the start of the war. There's a theory going around that she was never even kidnapped and it was all a ploy just so she could be released and be attacked by the Americans. Would make sense since the car apparently didn't respond to US warnings. Hell, on the Il Manifesto website, she was even praising the terorrists and saying they treated her fairly. Yes, fairly, as in they kidnapped her, made a hostage video, and threatened to kill her.

Whether that is or is not the car is irrelevant. Unless you're saying they faked the death of the man who tried to protect her, there still needs to be a full investigation.

yes, there does regardless, but when her quotes seem to be so at odds with the current physical evidence, it does lead you to doubt her words. doubt or not,any incident like this absolutely needs investigated.

Whether or not that is the car does matter. If the car looks like that then there is no proof to back up her statement, in fact it'd be incriminating against her story.
