Well, its officially out. :-D (for USA PS2)

My Gamespot has them in.

We can finally breathe a sigh of relief that Sony of America didn't screw us out of ANOTHER USA PS2 Metal Slug game -_- (cough HACK USA PS2 Metal Slug 3 HACK)

Now if SNK Playmore can do a ps2 port of Metal Slug 2/X, they can double that up with PS2 Metal Slug 3 and bring it to the USA ;-) (Sony of America loves double packs with 2D games)

Got my copy, and continues are unlimited (or at least seem to be). They also drop you right back into the action, something I think Xbox MS3 didn't do...

And after finally playing 4 and 5, I can see how they get written off as the worst of the series...but they're still pretty enjoyable...just not as humorous and also lacking in some way I can't put my finger on...

1. limited continues
2. put you at the begining of the level instead of where you died

which for some people who love uber challanges that's fine, for me I never played the Slug games for a challange, I played them for mindless fun, sort of like reading the comics in the newspaper instead of reading shakespear, whne I want to read something that makes me think I'll read Shakespear, when I want to read something stupid and mindless I'll read the comics or IGN, and thusly when I want a challange I have other games I go to, when I want mindless fun I went to the Slug series, but they changed that in the Xbox release of 3 thus ruining the fun of the game for me, now if they had made it an option like Arcade Style and Xbox style I wouldn't have cared but they didn't
