I think this game now needs its own thread.
Popular Science did a peice on how this game is as close to really driving the cars as you can get. Professional racers got almost the exact same times on the courses as they did in the game, and the videos on IGN where they compare the game with the real thing are amazing.

Does this game have:
01. Decent AI?
02. Car damage modelling?
03. A game structure that isnt braindead?
04. Online play?
If it has any one or all of these then theyre well on their way to topping GT4.

I am now officially a fanboy and the game's new mouthpeice.
GT's game structure has always been retarded. You start with a crap car, run a bunch of races, and then you just trick out the car to the max values, etc etc and do the same races over and over. The game has always been about collecting instead of racing. Oh, and passing hideous license tests. And the AI makes the racing not that much fun at all.Quote:

Wow. Did I mention this game is being developed internally by Microsoft? Are you sure you don't hate it? Microsoft actually made this game in house, no external dev team.

I've been excited about this since I first saw it, since it seemed like the GT formula done well.

Last I heard, it was still running at 30FPS.
As for the damage modelling, it was pretty weak when I last played the game (which was September). I'd smash a car into a wall at high speed and barely scratch the paint. Hopefully things have changed since then, though.
I'm also interested in seeing the way the career mode is set up.The driving model wasn't as demanding as Gran Turismo, and that's probably not going to change. But the better AI is definitely going to be nice.
