Here is a OS shell. Beta version of course but its well made for a beta
PSP-OSS BETA 0.1 is finally released! Looks fantastic, a lot of work has been put into the creaton of this shell. For a 0.1 release, this is definitely one heck of a solid start. All listed features work as mentioned, and the OSS is pretty stable on the whole.

Here is a list of some of the stuff that OSS features (found in the readme):
*Audio:
-Built-in audio player.
-MP3 and OGG support.
*Image:
Built-in image viewer.
PNG and JPG support an resolutions up to 512x512.
*EBOOT Support:
Run any EBOOT off you memory stick via the "Start Menu" (1.5 firmware).
*Filebrowser:
Easily access your memory sticks files via included filebrowser.
Ability to Open, Cut, Paste, Delete and Rename files.
*Easy-to-use GUI:
Restart and shutdown the PSP-OSS from the desktop.
Run any UMD from the desktop (excluding UMDs requiring 2.xx).
Edit your theme or background from the configuration panel.
Enable/disable USB mode.
Access time and date information.
*Shortcuts
Look at Shortcut.ql example on the desktop. Open in a text editor.
*Folder Locations for Desktop and Start Menu
Files you want on the desktop or in the start menu go in these folders.
Desktop: PSP-OSS\DESKTOP\
Game: PSP\GAME\
Music: PSP\MUSIC\
Pictures: PSP\PHOTO\
---------------------------
Seems as though we did not include an example shortcut with the release, appologies for that let me demonstrate on how its done. Basically a Shortcut is either a .pol or .ql file either one will work. To create this file open notepad and enter the physical location of the file you want to launch. In other words to launch an eboot in the root of your memory stick you would put this in notepad.
ms0:/EBOOT.PBP
Then save the file as a whatever.pol or whatever.ql file on the Desktop of OSS which is located *:/PSP-OSS/DESKTOP
If you did not seem to manage that use your computer to rename the file to whatever.ql or whatever.pol All the file contains is the physical location of an eboot thats all Hope this helps folks.
PS. replace whatever with what you want

has there ever been a release for solid image viewing apps for the psp? secondly, are any of them coupled with a password feature(as is available for the gba homebrew)?
OK, I have an MP3 problem. I currently have 76 songs showing up in the music menu on my PSP. Problem is I just ripped 11 new songs, some Pearl Jam and Get Up Kids and none of these new songs I ripped from CD show up. My PSP still lists 76 songs when it should be showing 87.
They show up in my memory stick menu and will play in winamp when using my memory card reader. On my PC in the original folders they also show up as Winamp files and play fine (I used Windows media player to rip the songs but I am using firmware 2.0 and have several WMA format songs which show up and play fine) But when I open my PSP they aren't there. Any ideas?
Hey Bandit, is that a homebrew game that you just use KXploit to install.
Um, nevermind, I'll just read the instructions kthx.
There are good solid image viewing apps but the PSP already has a image viewing feature.Quote:

Try turning the PSP off completely and turning it back on. If not, try re-ripping the songs.Quote:

So, now I am stuck at 144k left on the memory stick, and nothing but an NES emu and a few roms on it.
What am I doing wrong? I need my space back :)
Hmmm. Looks like I will be re-ripping.Quote:

Now, if I could only figure out why Super Dodge Ball will never fucking work! Ugh.
Never heard that one before. Try turning the PSP off and on completely? I assume those files you deleted arent there anymore. If you're near a PC or have one, check on that to see.Quote:
