Anyway, these sales don't include arcade sales. Street Fighter probably made Capcom more money than Resident Evil if we include that.

Strider was and still is one of Capcom's absolute most hardcore characters ever. My friend and I forever debate on which ninja kicks more ass, Joe Musashi or Strider Hiryu. Personally, I'd rather play Revenge of Shinobi to Strider. How was the U.S. Gold Strider 2, by the way? Which one was better, U.S. Gold Strider 2 or Capcom's?

The U.S. Gold game is pretty crappy. Capcom's sequel destroys it although I prefer the original. Strider 2 was an excellent deal for having both games.

After Strider 1, some of the original staff left Capcom which is why Osman/Cannon Dancer is considered the spiritual sequel. I haven't played it and it hasn't been emulated yet.

Yeah, I was initially crushed to spend $30 on Strider 2, but when it had an arcade perfect port of the original, it's not a bad deal. The best way to enjoy Strider 2 is to not allow yourself to use all the shit that made this game too easy... like unlimited continues that deposit you right where you died, heh.

A guy I know has an Osman board, I missed the chance to play it last year at Otakon because I didn't see him on the day he had it in the game room, but if he brings it back this year, I'll hopefully get the chance. The vids of it he made looked really cool.

It's nearly impossible to compare those two genres. Fighters, by definition, have so much more replay and depth that it gives them a huge long-term advantage.
