Yeah, she really has always been a dumbass. If it wasn't for sups wanting to bed her, she'd been dead a long long long time ago in the DC universe.

Goddamn I think I hit a nerve or something.

Look the scene didn't kill my enjoyment of the movie, but it still was stupid. Yes I know it set up Lex telling Lois his scheme, and the discuvery of Jason being Supes son and the entire rescue of Supes himself. It was even funny. But it still was stupid. I think it would've been less stupid if at least the boat door was locked. Then have Lois break in or find another way in somehow. Even that one thing would've satisfyed me.

The writers were probably stuck between a rock and a hard place trying to figure out a way to get all three (Lois, her son and Lex) of them on the boat. So I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, but that doesn't stop this scene for seeming real dumb to me.

I think I'm gonna absolve myself from the rest of this thread, since I can see myself doing this type of thing throughout, and most people seem to really love this film. My numerous problems with it will only drag the thread down.

Their is a difference between a stupid plothole and a just retarded solution to a problem. WHat Lois did was retarded and made no sense in anyway.

You guys must go into seizures when you're watching a slasher flick. "OMG! Why would anyone run up the stairs? That's so stupid! There's no way out if you run up! It was retarded and made absolutely no sense!"

Just stop watching movies if you're going to apply that kind of thinking to them.
