Yup, it is the same one. The one I bought I won for 1.00 and paid like 29.00 shipping. 30 bucks didn't seem like too much to pay for the glowing sign though.Quote:

These are the other 3 I framed (these were resized for the web):

The lower res (640x480) images didn't look any worse than the high res (1195x480) images when blown up to 8x10. I guess they are computer graphics regardless.
That's what I was always thinking. I don't mind paying the shipping if would win one on the cheap.Quote:

Our nasty old unfinished basement was turned into my bedroom, which is essentially a game room with two mattresses stacked on top of eachother. We got a family friend to do cheap labor and throw up some drywall, bought economy carpet from a liquidation store, and did a cheap-ass sponge painting job. The entire room cost under 600 bucks, and it looks pretty damn awesome (though I lack a ceiling, just rafters). Once you have decent walls and some basic carpet, the rest is simple enough. Bargain hunt for furniture solutions, like super-market entertainment centers (mine was $25 and holds all my consoles) and Wal-Mart tube TVs. <$200 bucks for a 27" with component hookups. Grab a few cheap shelves or build your own, and find some cheap lamps and you're done.
I lack seating right now, since I'm cramped on space and don't have money for a futon yet. Right now I have a big pile of huge pillows I lounge in, and it's surprisingly comfortable.
Ad as a side note, small refrigerators are excellent additions. 1/3 to 1/2 size fridges can run under $150 if you shop around, so you can always have a nice snack supply nearby.
best advice yet. ive always got some beer within mere feet of me at all times.Quote:

Unforunately, basement rooms have a lot of problems. My ceiling is the playfloor of my younger stepsiblings, and their main room is right above my bed. Hardwood flooring upstairs makes everything incredibly loud and we have no insulation so it gets really bad sometimes. Some goes for all the pipes and other basement devices, such as maybe washers/dryers and any central cooling and heating. I get a ton of noise down here and don't have the means to try and sound-proof anything for a while. If you can, look into basic foam insulation for the ceiling or walls and anything you can put around main vents and pipes. I can hear every conversation in the house because of our vent system (which does has some advantages, though).
Large appliances suck. If you have a freezer or washing machines, see if you can move them elsewhere (garage?). The noise drives me absolutely insane.
Yeah, basement rooms kind of suck. We decided to have a finished "party room" downstairs, but my dad abandoned the project, so it pretty much sucks. When I'm home it's the "dump TVs in the middle of the room and play Halo" room, which we last did at New Years, which was pretty sick, despite freezing to death and the lovely sounds of pipes.Quote:

Minifridges are also nice. Well, right now I hate them because it's the only goddamn fridge I have and I can't keep any real food in it, but it's nice to have cold drinks at hand. Getting a small Pur pitcher certainly beats drinking the white-grey tap water here, too.
I don't think the one with Ico and Yorda on opposite sides of the gap is too spiffy but the other two kicks ass, as does the first one you posted.Quote:

I've been playing on a 20" television the past years, so I can't wait to finally move up to a real size television. Cuz 4 player Halo on a 20" really really sucks :yuck:
