We're talking about a pretty abyssmal localization. I don't think anyone affiliated with it even spoke Japanese. They removed all the text from the game. I wouldn't cite anything from the US version as evidence.Quote:

A friend of mine has an ST-V and this is one of the games that came in the big box of carts he got with it. We have played this one everytime we get together for gaming. The game is essentially a gambling game where you bet money on who is going to win the mini-game that the loser of the last game chooses. The "bad" graphics and weird animation only add to the comedic effect and make winning even funnier. As you can see, there's a mini-game which is a one-on-one gunfight with better (or worse) guns falling from the sky. The other game pictured features a checkout counter that displays a value where both players have the option to put up at least that much money. Whoever puts up enough money first makes that purchase and receives the change from the checkout girl. This goes for about 5 transactions and the winner is the one with the least coins at the end.
Other mini games not pictured include 1 hole of golf on a randomly chosen green, a kart race, air hockey with breakable ice cubes behind the player paddle protecting each players goal, an aerial fight where you shoot arrows to pop your opponents balloons, tossing multiple time bombs back and forth hoping they detonate on your opponents side of the playing field, and both players beating the jewels out of a cpu controlled jewel thief. At the end of every game there's a scene showing the winner's character somehow beating up the other persons character, leaving them laying in an alley while your character gets progressively more expensive clothes with each consecutive win. Fun stuff and highly recommended to anyone with gaming friends.
Yea they rap "M-m-m-Maruyama" at first, but keep listening (Just go to Sound check - 05 in the options) they start to say "Kuma".Quote:

This one is Taito's survival horror themed arcade game and the debut release for their G-Net arcade system that came out in 1998. You choose one of three characters and face off against zombified scientists, rats the size of SUVs, and an occasional mecha. You can dispose of all threats by shooting them, running up and beating/slashing them to bits, or simply getting out a rocket launcher or other subweapon to blow them to kingdom come. Extra items like health drinks, subweapon cartridges, and first-aid kits can be found by trashing objects in the rooms.
Thankfully the control is NOT Resident Evil style. Instead you just point the stick in the desired direction to get going, and you can roll with a double-tap.
While the graphics do look like a System 12 game, they're acceptable especially when the game play is good. The BGM is from Zuntata's Joutohei Nakayama (Norihiro Furukawa, AKA "Wiz Master" who did Darius Twin's BGM) and has different styles including some suspenseful "spy movie" type tracks and some downright eerie ones.
