Played Yoshi's Story for the first time and it's amazing!

I have to agree also with Link's Awakening being at least my personal favorite Zelda game. I actually prefer the original version to the Color, as the dialog is a bit funnier. They kinda neutered some of the subtle comedic stuff in the DX version. Besides, the new dungeon wasn't all that great. The photo-op Mouser was really funny, though.

Yes, that is true. But, this game only has what....15-20 levels TOTAL? (can't remember) and of those 15-20 or so you play like 10-15 to beat the game. Whereas most other Mario games had more like 50 levels, and you probably played on average atleast half to 3/4's of those levels to beat the game.

Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World both had around 100 levels, and the levels in Mario World were long especially compared to the NES ones.

SMW had 96 exits from worlds, so it's more like 70 levels.

I beat Yoshi Story twice when I rented it and was very disappointed. It was short, easy, and nothing all that new...I thought I did all the levels, but I honestly don't remember it with that much detail. I guess you can add "forgetable" to my assessment.

The best part of the entire game is the Yoshi rap.

I liked the atmosphere and everything, but sniffing around looping stage to collect melons was pretty lame. They tried something new and it didn't work out too well =/

Yoshi's Island for SNES is better.....

Nintendo labelling the game as a sequel to SMW just set up such high expectations for me that the end product couldn't deliver.

I never really thought of Yoshi's Story as a sequel to Yoshi's Island, and I certainly can't imagine it being thought of as SMW 3.
It's just another platformer that happens to have Yoshi.
Kinda like Revenge of Shinobi and Shadow Dancer.
