It's weird--some of the songs I thought I'd love, like David Bowie and Queen, I actually don't really like in the game, while songs I was sure I'd hate, like Ashlee Simpson and Avril Lavigne, actually work really well in the game.

If I were to rate the songs in EBA based on how well they work in the game, I'd say

I haven't unlocked Survivor yet, so I can't comment on that. Of the songs I do have (all but one), there are only two I really don't like playing, which about matches Ouendan (in Ouendan I hate the Egyptian one and the girl in the office scenario).

Not too bad for a bunch of licensed crap.

EBA's tracklist had me heading for the hills. But I'm stupid and bought the game despite my misgivings. Most of the tracks actually work well, with only the Ashlee Simpson one being completely obnoxious.

Just got 4.5 mil on Ready Steady Go on expert but it wasn't a perfect chain... close though. I think it's good enough. Once I get the highest score rank I'll be done.

I believe this. I can be a music snob sometimes, so I lol at the track selection in this and GH, but I'd probably deal with it just fine in the context of the game (after all, I put up with some truly heinous garbage in IIDX).

The game is rad, give it a shot. I also hate the music on principle, but irl I walk around singing the Anthem and shit because of this game.

Got the highest score rank in Ouendan, btw, all done with the game =)
