That looks sick! Was not expecting this at all.
Now this is what I'm talking about: original games (or original remakes) that use the dual screens in genuinely cool ways.
It looks fantabulous. Definitely on the must-buy list for the DS.
If I'm not mistaken it looks like they are using basically slightly "upped" backgrounds from the arcade and mixing in occasional 3D characters. Normally I'd think that would look really clunky but somehow it looks good here. And bosses too it seems. Cool. Dual screen Dig Dug, I will buy it for sure and a friend of mine is gonna drool when he sees this.
Only thing I don't like is that they took away the main character's space suit and he has *squinting*...a little brown mop top of hair and a pointy little nose? :\
Question.... what's the top screen showing? Just like,the top level or where you're digging?
It appears that the top screen is showing the surface that you're digging through.
Top screen = Dig Dug II
Bottom screen = Dig Dug

I never played DigDug II. Just the original and Mr. Do! hehe
