If we didn't care enough to do anything about Rwanda or Darfur, my guess is that a couple of gay kids getting hanged isn't exactly going to spur us into action. If anything, we'll have other motives.

Besides, even if we invaded Iran and set up a friendly government, they'd probably still hang gays. It's just a step further than how many conservative Christians here feel.
