As much as I think that conservatives would like evidence of the Middle East being openly oppressive to their citizens, I find it hard to believe that they would vocally side with the homosexuals, considering the conflicts that the two groups have over here.

You do realize that "setting them free" doesn't mean they're not going to do this shit. They believe in this. We set Iraq "free" and they voted for Islamic law. Show me a successful modern democracy in the middle east that comes from our militaristic efforts and you just might have a point, but until then, get the fuck off your high horse.
