It's going to be pushed to coincide with the launch of the Revolution. Nintendo did say all their big guns would be out for the Rev launch, they just never said they would all be Revolution titles.

I doubt it, too. But by Spring '06, alot of the public's mindshare will be going to Xbox 360, and especially the upcoming release of PS3. Zelda likely won't have nearly the effect it would have had it come out this year.Quote:

It's not coming up side the 360 launch anymore, now it's the PS3 launch and FFXII (and Halo 3 if the rumors are true). It's also coming out close to E3, when you know there'll be some big announcements coming. That's not even mentioning missing the holiday rush. If it goes out after E3 I would expect it to release soon after E3 while the PS3 will most likely do a 2006 christmas launch.
Either way I heavily doubt PS3 hype will cannabalize Zelda sales. Only FFXII can really bury the game.
Also take into consideration the quality of Zelda. I'm pretty sure the gameplay and positive praise alone wil make sure it maintains a high level of spotlight during 2006.
I don't really agree with the E3 comparison. I'm sure that Zelda will be better than a bunch of stuff shown at E3 that we won't be playing for a year or two.
