I'm somewhat interested in a job as a Geeksquad employee, only, I'd like to know their payscale. I've searched online and haven't been able to find anything. I'd rather not fill out an application first.

Pay is usually based on knowledge of products (probably) and experience in the retail business. I would think it would be around $8-10?
From what I've read there are basically two types, ones that stay in Best Buy and ones that drive to people's houses. The ones that stay in Best Buy probably make that $8-10. Someone else online mentioned he started at $18 an hour doing the house calls.
It also depends on what market you are looking to work in. At my store in MN, most of the in-store "Agents" make around 10-15 depending on experience and seniority.
Id rather shoot myself in the face than work for Best Buy. Especially as a member of the "Geek Squad". Yea, the BB people really think highly of those guys as evidenced by the name choice.
I really hate that fucking name too.
Dude, they get to drive the Geekmobile.
That makes it even worse.

I was at Best Buy's repair desk for my portable DVD player, and I saw the pricing for this Geek Squad nonsense. It was ludicirous. $230 for installing some spyware removers? With what I know about computers, I could drive a damn Porsche if set up a stand in front of Best Buy and intercepted all these people actually dropping that cash for such menial problems.
