Does anyone know anything yet about this? It seems really strange that we're so close to the system's launch and it's still hard to find info on this. From what I've heard it's going to only be backwards compatible with the big name Xbox games via emulation, I really hope that's not the case.
The official word from Microsoft is that it'll be compatible with "top selling Xbox games" when it's launched, and they're working to get every Xbox game compatible with it eventually. No time frame or titles have been announced.
I bet the processor the Xbox uses is hella cheap now, they should've just thrown it in there. I bet that would solve alot of their problems.
But what do I know?!
from what ive read it only works with the HDD, because it needs to use patches to play the games. Thats what microsoft said they ment to do with the core and complete packs, not everyone wants or needs all the features the new system could put out, seems backwards compadibility fell into that.
