My copy will be here tomorrow (why do I continue to choose ground shipping?). I'm an incredibly excited to try this finally.

- from ECM's review of Ultimate Ghosts and GoblinsQuote:
"Oh, sure, there's that rare gem to make you feel like dumping $250 (or $200 if you were 'smart' enough to wait) on Kutaragi's latest mad, ego-driven, screen-zilla-with-the-busted-square-button-but-you'll-love-it-peon-or-I'll-subject-you-to-endless-PS2-ports-bitch system, on the whole, the PSP's voyage across the gaming seas, thus far, has more in common with the Titanic than with the PS1 and 2s rocket-powered ride to victory"
(link to it in Compass' post above mine)
THAT sounds like ECM all right. ^_^ I also like how he once again plugged Strider 2 (ps1) because it was vastly underappreciated. heh ;)
I'm surprised UG'nG isn't getting more attention. This thread here and the gamefaqs board are both conspicuously lethargic. Maybe the hardcores that the game appeals to already bought and played the import? Or maybe the PSP is still too expensive.
I just got a PSP for this game. It is wonderful. Playing on Ultimate mode now. I love the fact that anyone can play this game. The other modes are a cake-walk , but are great for getting the controls down and such. It is the perfect sequel. Not too crazy about the PSP, but whatever.
Tekken 5 is pretty cool too.
Damn Capcom for not bringing this game out on a major console or better yet, a download for the 360. They'll put out Viewtiful Joe AND a sequel, but not bring this one out?! Whatever.
Next up, Castlevania and Yoshi Island 2 :)
Just picked this up on PSN for $10 and damn it is hard.
Is it just me, or are the player and enemy models in this game huge compared to the size of the SNES and NES sprites? It feels like a lot of the difficulty is just because the player and enemy models take up so much of the screen that it leaves little room to maneuver.
Great music and art so far, though.
It's definitely hard as hell. I think you may be onto something about the size. You seem to have less time to react because everything that is going on takes up so much of the screen.
