(EDIT)Battle of the races about new orleans ...and the escape! FIGHT!

Not to make light on the subject of what's going on in New Orleans, but what's going on now sounds almost like some post apocalypse movie.

Police that was doing search and rescues have been ordered to stop the wide spread looting that is going on. The looting is now beginning to spread to major areas and hospitals and the mayor demanded it to stop right there. I was watching CNN and they were showing people cleaning out various stores, even stating that whole gun sections were cleaned out.

To make matters worse the red cross has had to fall back, because people have begun to car jack, hold up aid workers. Even rescue helicopters are being shot at and being forced to retreat. The more civil areas housing refugees like the dome have turned into panic riots when buses arrive to evacuate people.

Then top it off, flood waters are still rushing in on the city since two levee's broke. They can't bring in supplies to fix the levee's since people are shooting at copters. Add to that cars, ships and wreckage is in the way so they can't even get to the area needed patching.

Any other maddness going on I've missed?

They need to round up the big guns, get the military in there and round up these incredible wastes of flesh. I still can't believe anyone would be greedy, sadistic, or insane enough to hamper emergency rescue and medical groups.

Anyway, what I don't understand is why there's little to no Federal aid in New Orleans as of yet…it's like we've left these people on their own. What the fuck is going on? We jump to help assholes in other countries but we can't help our own?

If you ask me, let true martial law rule... any resistance, shoot to kill. Innocent people are wasting away while rescue workers are delayed because these wastes feel they have total control.

Since the only place the government deems the National Guard worthy of being sent into is Iraq, I'm not surprised by this.

They need to send in the troops and SHOOT THE FUCK BACK. Saving lives is much too important to be waiting around for these losers to loot somewhere else. Take 'em the fuck out, I say.

As much as it bothers me, I agree. I hate the idea of such but if people are looting fucking hospitals and trying to take out vehicles that are there to aid people... someone needs to take them out, and at this point, I don't really care how they do it when tons of innocent people are suffering because of the senseless actions of a few.

I would agree about the martial law but I think there have been enough deaths in the last 3 months. If they do however enforce martial law I wouldn't feel to bad for these idiots.

i dont see where people are going to take all this shit they're stealing. its not like they have homes anymore.
