PSP = most successful UK hardware launch ever, 2x+ DS.

The inside buttons thing isn't awful but sometimes I do feel the slight click when they clear the screen and if I spent 250 bucks on it I'd be really obsessive about it, as it is I'm going crazy trying to prevent scratching the DS touch screen. Same thing with the battery life, it doesn't make the thing unplayable but for the price it bothers me. I don't have much faith in Sony hardware to begin with, part of me is waiting to see if people start complaining about dead UMD drives or blue screens of death en masse. The thing is gorgeous but it just feels so fragile, the DS is ugly when closed but it seems like I could spike it on concrete and it would still work. Besides, Sony hasn't released a system yet that they haven't remodeled so you know it's coming sooner or later.

How did you break the top screen of the DS by tapping it, by "tap" do you mean stabbed with the stylus and by "I" do you mean a 10 year old you let play with your system?

BTW you can replace the top screen yourself pretty cheaply, the part is at www.nintendo.com . I'm not sure how much a PSP replacement battery costs but I've seen them online.

It's like when my former roommate got pissed that his laptop's screen died, and wondered why everything he had always broke on him. I felt bad that I had to point out the fact that he dropped the goddamn thing on the floor and it still wouldn't sink in.

It's not that hard to take care of your stuff. Seriously.

;3 As someone who's broken scores of controllers, an SNES (that one wasn't anger), and a GBA SP, i'll admit i've been rough. But the DS tap wasn't even that hard. I've been rougher with the PSP.

But seriously, I just don't see how much more of an improvement they could add onto the launch DS model, it's pretty much the perfect ideal handheld for me aside from me wanting a bigger screen and more impressive graphics. I'm sure there's another version of DS coming though so I'm not deluding myself.

The PSP I gotta give props to looking slick, everyone knows its a cool media player but the less stuff I have to buy for my system to keep in good shape the better. Like Spo said, I have enough trouble trying to keep my DS scratch free but it's gonna happen anyway so PSP is def more prone to it but eh whatever. I'm not going to continue to harp on it because I'm probably going to eventually want one once the lineup of games looks great.
