I guess I should have mentioned that.
The only person that I know personally who had played it was comparing it to Omega Boost, which he claims has held up much better in the graphics department.
It looks better than Omega Boost. OB had very sparse graphics anyway, so it's hardly a good game to compare to.
It both looks and plays like dog shit.Quote:

The graphical style really carries it above any other N64 game, and like Frog mentioned the framerate is amazing for what it does. The enemies look great, of course they can be blocky and what, but it is by far the best rail-shooter ever. Nothing touches it. I have no problems playing it on my RGB monitor.
Treasure should re-release S&P with redone graphics- the base gameplay design, level design, and (most) audio would already be done.
The graphical style is reminiscent of Vagrant Story, they have the same fat asses and I'm pretty sure it was the same guy that worked on both.
The game is balls out action and is amazing. My favorite level is flying on top of a chunk of telekinetically-controlled aircraft carrier, doing strafing runs on ships, skimming by the water, etc. It's beautiful and intense.
I can see the hate for a lot of games, but not this one. It's fantastic.
You are incorrect. Yasushi Suzuki the guy who did Ikaruga's art did S&P. I compiled his art here since most of it isn't online any more.Quote:
