I dropped literature two years ago, and it has been no use since. Literature doesnt send rockets into space, or make your computer work.
All literature did for me was to ruin any good book by making me spend too much time on it writing essays, etc, which just made me hate the book.
For example, all the people in my class hate John Steinbeck because they studied "Of Mice and Men", yet personally I enjoyed the book, and he is one of my favourite authors.

I cannot see any point in studying literature, unless you're going to be an author, although the existance of literature itself is very important

That's what I'm saying. Literature is about as necessary for most people to get through daily life as trig and calc are. They are, however, very important to how the world and society function as a whole.

Oh, I understand the technical meaning of the word. My comments were in refrence to the popular meaning of the word. You are aware that the average person considers lit to be fictionional works and poetry becuase that is what the class of the same name goes over, correct?

Perhaps the shitty parts. The complex structure, wording, and style is never used and has never been used by any other great work by any other author. The only thing people take from Shakespeare is drama for the sake of drama. Writers could have just as easily taken that aspect from any other play write of the time and before.

The fact that you really think Shakespeare has influenced "every book" shows how blinded and biased you are for literature. Your opinion on the subject is virtually meaningless. I have to wonder if you've even had an education in lit and theater history past highschool english and the fags in drama class.

lol, I've never had a problem getting at least a B in my college level lit classes. Hell, I've been complemented several times on my ease and speed of comprehension of lit and my ability to find deep meanings that most people miss.

Did you even read the .pdf?

As long as you store both the denominators and the numerators in the s and q values, then you can define polygons entirely with whole (i.e. rational) numbers.

Obviously you still need to deal with irrational and imaginary numbers when defining curved surfaces, but that doesn't negate the implications for polygons.

It what ways? When I think of Trig as of now, all I think of are triangles, circles and graphs. You maybe if they actually focused on teaching us Trig instead of rushing it through our brain, maybe so many people wouldn't hate math let alone trig.

School's generally teach you how to pass math tests, rather than how to understand the underlying theory.
