The iPod Video

This is kind of annoying, considering I really wanted a larger capacity iPod when I bought mine a few months ago, but couldn't afford it. I had also been waiting for a long time for them to finally release something substantially new.

But I'm not that dissapointed, because this isn't nearly as impressive as I was expecting. I have no clue why they went with 4:3 aspect ratio, and in turn, forced a much smaller screen and outdated format. I was expecting something very similar to the fake that has been making the rounds on the net. I'll stick with my PSP when it comes to video.

You can use it on other computers, but you need to buy the Universal Dock, which is silly since not everyone who want Front Row has an iPod.

Still, a 30GB iPod Video for $299 is better than a 20GB iPod Photo for $299. Plus, it's even smaller to boot, with better battery life. Methinks it's time I got myself an IPod.

Of course, in 12 days the iPod Video Nano will come out with a 100GB model, weighing 1/2 an ounce and sporting telepathic support so you can control it with your mind instead of the click wheel and I'll be fucked.

Still no replacable battery. No sale.

I thought you can replace the battery. Is this not true?

I'll wait for the iPod iPod, so I can have an all-in-one device to store my iPods in.

Well, you can, but that voids the warranty since you have to pry the iPod open to replace it. I want the replacable battery to be an intended feature.

The chances of you needing to replace your battery while your warrenty is still in effect are almost zero.
