And yes, Opie and Anthony and other talk shows aired in Canada (or potentially aired) ARE afraid of being charged with a crime if they happen to make an off-color comment about someone in a special "protected status" group in Canada. I don't mind it so much if there are language options myself, it's when you have to take an extra step to choose "English or Spanish" in a country (especially in mostly white areas) where English should be the official language. If you want to come legally, fine. If you want to speak Spanish, fine. But LEARN English so you can integrate with the rest of society. I find it interesting that after posting all that stuff, the first thing people comment on is an off-hand comment about ATM languages. I enjoyed my trip to Montreal. At one point, we were sitting in a Texas-style rib joint surrounded by people from all around the world (Germany, Japan, etc.). I had no problem with it and enjoyed the experience, I just don't want to live in an area like that (whether it be in Canada or the US). Just my personal opinion, that's all.
