I like Popful Mail and Actraiser. I didn't hate Y's III either.
The time-limit in Majora's mask wasn't really limiting, except for the first 20 minutes of the game. There's no hurry once you slow down time. Majora's mask was the first Zelda game that had interesting characters. Without the 3 day limit, it wouldn't have been possible to watch them go about their lives, day by day, until... KABOOM. Watching a girl wait to die while her fiance was nowhere to be seen was pretty sad (if you didn't save him), especially for a Nintendo game. Only that frickin' goron maze at the end spoiled an otherwise perfect game. But geez, the tree in the field. And the turtle. And giant things underwater to scare the shit out of me. 3rd temple boss=TERRIFYING. And the zombie dad...
OOT was okay, but besides the 3D thing, it didn't do much to make it stand out from any other Zelda. Characters= cardboard cut-outs. Puzzles were alright and the world was more interesting than, oh... LINK TO THE PAST.
WW's marionette is Nintendo's love letter to the fans. I wouldn't have it any other way.
Minish Cap was pure wonderful, except that it was too short. Maybe it wasn't, i just played it too much when i had it. Getting that last kinstone and ridiculous amounts of whatever it was to make the statues didn't work for me.
