Super Princess Peach

I'm still a little unsure about whether or not I'll like this game, but that IGN review was seriously crap.

Well, i'm getting it, but i'd buy it twice if Peach gained about 20 pounds.

Breaking news: the Gamespot review is also, predictably, crap.

At least it had a video to watch while the dude sputtered out the words "kinda, sorta, pretty much pretty such and such blah blah kiddy" for five minutes. The game LOOKS awesome. I love the graphics, they're simple but they look above GBA quality to me, and like there was some effort put into it. The music sounds good too. And Peach's run animation is great. And the umbrella is cool.

The PSP in 2006 is going to have a second screen and a touchscreen for truly unique games, development costs even lower than that of a GBA game, a legion of mascots that sell games all by themselves, and a userbase full of people that don't care what a PSP game's graphics look like? The reality of the situation is that PSP users want gorgeous and unique PS2 games with low load times that cost $40 or less, which cost hundreds of times as much to develop as a unique 2d DS game that will sell far more copies.

They're a giant corporation that always lies about their upcoming products to kill off competing products that are already available, they're actively trying to kill 2d gaming, they make shitty hardware that always breaks, the majority of their system sellers come from third parties, their customer service is awful, as of now they still haven't put out a system with a real dpad or more than 2 controller ports, their online service is a joke, their spokespeople are arrogant assholes that tell their customers to do things like get second jobs to afford their products, I could go on.
