NYC Transit Strike

Bloomberg is only on that bridge so they don't lynch his ass. PR Damage Control mode.

That asshole doesn't even live nor work in Brooklyn.

I want to see him walk from the Upper East Side down to City Hall.

I walked from the outskirts of north Philly to south Philly one night because I couldn't get a cab. Sucked.

Every one of you motherfuckers walking around NYC right now totally lose, and I'm sorry to hear about it.

If it wasn't so fucking cold, I wouldn't mind walking.

Let's review my commute this morning:
6:20am: Woke up
7:20am: Left my apartment
7:45am: Arrived at my bus stop (my firm is chartering private buses)
8:30am: Called to find out where the bus was
8:35am: Moved bus stop to McDonalds a block away
9:00am: Learned that bus wasn't coming and cars were coming to get us
10:00am: Cars arrive
10:45am: Cars complete six-block approach to Williamsburg Bridge
11:30am: Arrived at work

Generally I wake up at 8:30 to get to work around 9:30.

And really, this sucks, but so many people have it much worse.

Ummm I believe back in 1980, the President (Regan?) allowed hiring of workers to run the transit system when the original workers went on strike. They were known as scabs because they took jobs of actual TWU workers and they didnt like it.

They're main gripe is the pension. They're getting more than enough money and they're bitching? No company will ever give their workers a 6% raise. On average, a company will give 1-2% in a raise. 3% is more than enough of a raise.

You're confusing the air traffic controller strike with the 1980 NYC Transit strike. Plus, Reagan wasn't President until 1981.
