Nah. They are both about the same. He may just like Howard more than O & A.

Not sure about talk, since I'm not really interested in that, but commerical-free music stations are always a plus (HUGE fan of the PureJazz channel), and you have Raw Dog comedy (although that's hit or miss depending on who they're playing).Quote:

The lack of a good portable player sucks though, and it's a huge advantage XM has over Sirius. I've heard that Sirius will finally release a portable radio by the end of 2006, and we can all forget about the excuse that is the RIAA-crippled S50. :yuck:
I don't think Sirius is going to be streaming stern's show online. They stream all the music channels and "select" talk channels, which i don't think is even a simulcast, just a sample. I tried the streaming once, it sucked.
I thought by your wording you were saying that Sirius has more talk stations, or something to that effect. I'm not really into Howard, but I'll probably stream him (and maybe capture it) free through streamerp2p.com for my co-workers who care, or grab it in the afternoon from mininova.org (assuming it gets torrented). I actually just picked up a Delphi Roadie XT for free (with three months pre-paid service) so I'm diggin' the XM right now, and I can get Sirius music channels through Dish.Quote:

my radio also came with a sticker on the display that it was playing Coldplay - Speed of Sound. Why are they always playing that in product shots?
Holy crap, again

XM PASSPORT: THE FIRST "MINI" XM TUNER OFFERS XM TECHNOLOGY IN A TINY, PORTABLE CARTRIDGE
XM and Audiovox introduce XM Passport, the miniature tuner that delivers XM Satellite Radio to home stereos, DVD players, car radios, portable audio players, and more
Washington D.C., January 04, 2006 -- XM Satellite Radio, the nation's leading satellite radio company, and Audiovox today unveiled the XM Passport, a tiny, portable tuner that delivers XM Satellite Radio to an expanding portfolio of XM Ready products for the home, car, and portable use utilizing XM Connect and Play technology.
The XM Passport measures only 1.3 inches wide, 1.65 inches long, 0.44 inches thick, yet this miniature cartridge contains the entire XM radio tuner needed to deliver XM Satellite Radio to a wide array of XM Ready products, including home stereo and home theater systems, DVD players, mini/micro-shelf systems, car radios, clock radios, boomboxes, and the new Samsung NEXUS XMP3 digital audio player. The XM Passport is inserted into a docking station connected to the product, or it is inserted directly into a port offered by the manufacturer, and it will deliver XM Satellite Radio to the product.
The XM Passport is approximately 40 times smaller that the original trunk mount XM radio tuners introduced just four years ago.
Too fucking slick. I have to have one of those.Quote:

It was 30 mill for Martha, believe it or not.
That's not the actual reason, though. It's because they job R&D out to other companies, and XM develops their tech in-house.
But seriously that thing is the shit. It's the size of an ipod mini, it saves 50 hours of content. It can save songs to keep, toss them into your playlist, even save whole songs when you hit record in the middle. Fast forward and rewind like TiVo, play MP3s, and improved live reception. That's everything you could want, man. The second that thing drops under $200 (surely by next christmas) it will be mine.
