Dawn of Souls, on a whole, is a better game, but it's so similiar to the GBA Castlevania games that it's really just more of the same.

I stand by what I said before. If no other Castlevania game had been around for a few years, than yes, Castlevania would have been an incredible experience, but since there had been a few Castlevanias in the last two to three years that were really similiar to Dawn's gameplay it made Dawn of Soul's impact feel rehased and old instead of new and original.
I'm sorry, but, If I was forced to eat steak every night for a week the steak that I'm served on Friday night would not taste as good as the one I had on Monday night, even if it was, indeed, better prepared steak. The same applies in video games.

What a bunch of hair splitting. Is there REALLY any argument that the DS's library isn't at the very least more interesting and generates more discussion? Tokobot is the only game that has kept me glued to my PSP consistently since Lumines and Wipeout.
