uh...excellence? considering the plot is complete ass, and that the game has no intentions of presenting itself as anything more than fluffball fanservice to it's user base(sans the 3% that play it seriously), this is more than adaquate.

Except that the movie is offering us no true fanservice. Corey Yuen is a competent director, so this should have been a HK production with softcore values. Make the chicks hot and big breasted, make it rated R and make it rather dark and violent. Have a few nudity scenes and BAM you got yourself a great HK film with the DOA ladies. OR they could have taken it to the Japanese, made it R with tons of hot big boobed Japanese girls and BAM once again you have a great movie (great in the fan service sense mind you).

As it stands you freaking have Mortal Kombat 4 or whatever number they were on. Pure crap. Women who aren't that hot or big breasted and no real fan service.

If you made it R, most of the game's fanbase couldn't watch it legally.

First, the "nobody goes there" line isn't a valid excuse. Second, even if that were true, it isn't then a valid excuse.

lol, while you're idea makes sense(dark/violent, etc)...that would stay true LESS to the game than what we've been given as is. doa is nothing more than a fluffball with a fighting game attached and it seems that yuen is treating it as such.

secondly; someone close this fucking thread. we've already got the one in cinemania.

Wait a minute, DOA has more of a story (Convoluted as it may be) than most recent fighting games, Virtua Fighter comes to mind. So, the fact that the girls fight TOGETHER just really sets this off for me.

If this is any better than MK:Annihilation...it will still suck.
