Eh, it sounds like there are gonna be tons of bots who don't have a specific identity yet, they could still be written in.

So when a studio denies that it's not legit, it must not be right? It could very possibly just be and attempt to develop more hype following the news of Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, and Ehren Kruger in talks for scripting "Transformers 2" as well as Box Office Mojo pegging the film's release date as June 26, 2009.
However, several clues that popped up around the same time have lead to an indication that the studio is lying about this treatment, and legitimacy of the document grows stronger.
There are two news stories, both posted today stemming from a set visit to "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull," reporting executive producer Steven Spielberg as saying the story will be finalized soon. IGN Movies is reporting that Mr. Spielberg has said the story will be finalized within the next 30 days, while Slash Film has him saying in a couple weeks. Slash Film also reports that Mr. Spielberg says that "if the writers guild strike doesn’t happen in November, they will be able to go into production on 'number 2' pretty quickly."
Also, a PM from "toymaker" from TFans reveals what may be a message from director Michael Bay's official site's webmaster, "nelson." "What I can tell you is that treatment wasn't a fan concoction. Take it as you will," the webmaster cryptically writes.
His message included other cryptic messages, including, "[h]e who says 'I know the plot' or 'I have a scoop' might be telling the truth in a false way," he writes, "or might be telling a lie in a truthful way."
He also says that this time around, he will not confirm nor deny anything about the movie unless Mr. Bay says so, and he warns "[b]e careful on what source you base your expectations on."
That script actually sounded really cool.
Too bad it will be directed by Micheal bay.
kipping this entirely. 2 hour commercial. ILM awesomeness ruined by shaky cam, no blu-ray release = skip
I love he's still on the 2 hour commerical bit. Yet if its Blu-Ray (a sony creation) he may buy it.
TF the movie maybe a 2 hour commercial, but you're a damn Sony Commercial on a messageboard. GTFO.
Of course Hot Rod is in the sequel.
When are we gonna see some Astrotrain, dammit?
More non car/jet TF's, plz.
bargained binned. or B2G1F. Starscream scene is worthy of HD purchase, but only bargain binned.

its no different as it was when VHS movies came out and one wanted them on DVD. I dont buy DVDs anymore, format has been chosen in my house by the first player to be in it, Blu-ray.
also suck my balls
I just remembered something that unfortunately puts the nail in the coffin of that treatment's legitimacy. Back around when the first movie came out, they let a few things slip about their plans for the sequel, and one of them was that Soundwave would introduce the concept of mass-shifting; that doesn't jive with the treatment having his alt mode be some giant sonic cannon.
