I was hardcore before you were

I broke the Atari when I was four because I was long on dude in Defender after a few hours and my parents made me go to breakfast ;(

First game I ever remember playing was a Gyruss port on the C64. We had a bootleg disk that had Zaxxon, Robotron, Gyruss and something else on it.

My parents were the same. I remember some epic wars my Dad and I had in 2600 Basketball, Boxing & Football. And I would always try to outscore my Mom in Space Invaders. But my Dad stopped liking games once the NES hit (other than a brief addiction to GB Tetris). My mom however still plays games, mostly her GBA SP but she's got a GC too. She was the one who got me into RPGs as a kid. I still remember watching her play all the way through the first Dragon Warrior.

Unfortunatly, because my Mom loved games, I didn't get to keep a system in my room until I got a little older and bought a Genesis for myself. We had a little room in the back of the house that had a couch, 2 TVs and the NES & 2600.

my favorite all time atari game was spiderman vs the green goblin.

I was still rocking my 2600 when the NES was out (before I had one) and I was so desperate to play SMB that I got the original Mario Bros. for 2600 (It cost fifty freakin' dollars!) and I wrote "SUPER" on it with a marker, so I could like, pretend I had SMB. lol.

It's amazing how time's changed. I'd like to see people that young even afford a decent apartment with a child and that many games nowadays.

Check it, I might not be as young as Korly but I was like 7... The local newspaper did an article on me.
