Nickalodeon has really just become a younger version of an MTV-esque cess pool. The only show worth watching that I know of on Nick now days is Spongebob. It's sad that Cartoon Network seems to be going downhill, too. The only reason I continue to watch CN is for Adult Swim.
I think cartoons for today's generation are almost entirely terrible. It really is depressing.

There couldn't possibly be a more striking example of symbolism that our generation are no longer kids.

I don't understand why anyone our age (21-25) would try to watch a kids show that airs now. It's not made for you, of course it's terrible. The same can be said for the adults that saw the shit we used to watch. Looking at some of the stuff I watched as a kid now...it's dog shit. Those shows had their time and their place, move on people.

I remember going to Nick Studios and getting to taste the slime, that was fucking awesome. The snot slime is actally made of vanilla pudding and pineapples, and the green slime is just green applesauce, amazing.
I caught the ABC satuday morning block a few times and they had Doug discussing shit like sex, and they had Patty Mayonaise with anorexia, what kind of shit is that. I saw that Pepper-an show once and they were talking about shit like training bras and stuff. Kids should not be learing life experiences from saturday morning cartoons, what the hell has happened to our society.
I agree partially with Rumpy. The vast majority of kids programming won't appeal to us, becuase we are not part of the demographic.
However there are still a lot of good shows today that can appeal to any taste if you actually look. Watch Avatar,Justice league, teen titans,Foster's,etc...
