As for old cartoons being crap, for the large part this is very true. He-man is ass, so is Thudercats and TMNT. I haven't seen the television series of Transformers and GI Joe recently enough to say if they were crap or not, but it wouldn't shock me (The corresponding movies still are pretty goddamn sweet though, and I think most will agree to that). Some shows that I have seen recently that held up pretty okay are The Real Ghostbusters, which is still hokey and kiddy, but not terrible, Garfield and Friends (... well... kind of. Some shows I would actually like to see again to see if they are funny or not are the early to mid-90s WB shows which have been mentioned like Anamaniacs and so on.
The Tick is still watchable today... because I just watched it today.
Pinky & The Brain was an awesome spin-off until they added Elmira and killed the series. I never understood why they added the least popular Tiny Toon into such a great show.Quote:

I think I just realized that some of these shows (pete and pete, rocko) were so good because they were made for kids and adults in mind. It makes sense. Whats not to love about a show that a child and parent can sit down and both enjoy. Unfortunately, I don't see too many shows like that around any more.
My little cousin watches Danny Phantom and Jimmy Neutron and likes it. I don't think he gives a shit what any of you fogies have to say about it.
I'm into Sentai mainly to see how crazy it can get. To be fair, each power ranger season has been getting better than the last in terms of effects and wire fighting, the acting is still shit though.Quote:
