Ape Escape 3 - PS2

This had a release date for yesterday, got a really good review in Game Informer (8.75).

They said its a true sequel to the original and not the junk they pumped out for part 2 or the shitty minigames, but " the tgame we have been waiting for since the original"

Anyone pick this up? I had no idea it was even coming out

I loved the first Ape Escape. I kinda lost track of the series on PS2, though.

I glanced at the OPM review today. They gave it a less-favorable review (3 out of 5, I think?), but they seemed more hung-up on the graphics than anything else.

Anyone know if the PSP game is worth looking at? (the first one)

What did you see wrong with the second one? I loved both games, and even thought the arena battle one was pretty fun.

I expect to get this one in a couple of days.

I thought Ape Escape 2 was a worthy sequel and better than most 3d platformers so yeah I'm interested in part 3.

By "lost track," I mean I never played Ape Escape 2 or Pumped and Primed or that queer one where you have to suck the pants off the monkeys.

I loved part 2 except for the freaking toy machine, never played pumped & primed

Looking forward to this. They did keep Metal Gear Saru in the US release, right?

I bought Ape Escape 1 three years ago and still haven't broken the cellophane... :(
