Exactly. I love it when college kids bat around the word "enlightened" and how they, at 18-21 years old have all the answers. Then they go off and party, drink, do drugs, screw, and work their part-time job in the true fashion of an elite member of society.

As for college students being stupid. Yeah, they really are. I'm not even sure why some are here as a large chunk of them avoid work or studying at all costs, I even find myself doing it sometimes. But I will be quick to say that I'm not the perfect collegiate schollar, but some folks in school are just downright retarded. When I first started school I thought I would be around people smarter or at least as smart as myself, it really bothers me that it doesn't really seem to be the case.

And in conclusion, I'm pretty shitty at math, but at least I can comprehend a goddamn news story.

You can pick these kids out really quickly at my school since we have this thing called "orange band" where members are supposed to tie a piece of orange cloth to their backpack to represent a subject they feel deeply for and are open to discuss with others.

The pretentious kids have those.

what's even worse is the bitter people that never went to college that constantly rub things like this in their faces. i went to college but don't have a job in my field necessarily. i don't act high and mighty (why would i.....i put myself thru school and have a shit ton of loans) yet there's not a shortage of people that never went to college that like to point out the fact that i "wasted my time and money and look what im doing with it".

it works both ways.
