I'm going to have to say that Daily Show is better than Colbert Report. Of course, it's been a few months since I've seen either, what with being cable-less at the moment (it's not a service I care about much, honestly). When the magic of tv re-enters my life I'm definitely planning on giving it another go.
Oh, and John Stewart is one of the funniest things tv has ever graced us with.

he used to be, but recently i think he has gotten way too into turning the show into a platform to spout off his opinions. he has democrats on his show to give them a free speaking pulpit and he basicly feeds them slams thruout the entire bit. political humor is funny but dont turn it into a fucking dnc ad.Quote:

Colbert is worlds funnier than Stewart. I can't stand Stewarts delivery and the same 4 stupid faces he makes.
I actually watch O'Reilly sometimes and I think he's a riot. I swear he's not a "news magazine" but is actually running a comedy show. Some of the shit he says is so absurd it's impossible not to laugh.
I agree. But overblown? How about imaginary? Anything less than a military dictatorship is considered "liberal" to some of our elected officials and their media cheerleaders so OF COURSE "normal" media will be more liberal than these nutjobs would like.Quote:

Colbert report is infinately funnier than the Daily Show. The Daily Show is just a giant unfunny anti-Bush ad at this point, at least the Colbert report is witty and funny and raises good points sometimes. Bald eagle diving claws first for the win.
Wrong. Listen to the interview on the Daily Show at least, Stewart will often say things more insightful and interesting than you'll ever hear on any talking head show. Its hardly an anti-Bush ad exclusively, both parties get there due, and its hardly unfunny.Quote:
