For example, the age of consent in Japan is 14; it is possible to legally have sex with a 14-year-old girl in Japan and then be prosecuted for child molestation, sexual assault on a minor, etc., when you return home. About 30 Western nations have laws to this effect. Those laws differ greatly from country to country and there is little information available on how often they are used.
Who said they were girls?Quote:

You laugh, but parents have gotten in trouble for taking perfectly innocent pictures of their very young children naked. I've heard stories of a few photo development places (one was Wal-mart, I believe) calling the cops because some parent brought in film to be developed that has pics like that.Quote:

It also brings up other questions. If I'm not of legal age to drink in the US, and go to another country where I am, can I be busted for doing so when I get back? What about anything else that is legal in one place but not another?Quote:

Drinking underage in another country/state and returning home is a totally different thing to screwing a 14 year old in another country and returning home.
Like you can go and smoke all the pot in Jamaica, but you won't get arrested when you get home.
Different crime, different rules...
Walmart photo department employees aren't exactly budding legal eagles. I'm sure the cops just laughed it off.Quote:
