Aside from the loose connection of both being based on underground fighting I see no similarites between Bloodsport and Pit Fighter. None. At all.
Different characters, different visual style, different setting, diffferent enemies, different moves, different kinds of soundtracks...I have no idea how you can look at Pit Fighter and see a connection other than the ones every other fighting game has.
