you may be right ,man. I havent done any digging around to see what's out there. The fact of countermeasures themselves isnt unknown to the public just what the equipment is and how it works (which is pretty damn cool in its own right if you understand what you are reading).

that and OPSEC! I'm sure animegirl and Fighter-X have heard this term before.

The idea is to protect the tank. It goes off a few yards from the tank, everyone is a-okay inside and roll on. People outside the tank: get the fuck out of the way, there is shit blowing up! It's worse if it's detonating on the tank.

Well, the way it works is that the scientific community probably already has the theory and the operational schematic. However, the military has the full working mechanism and how it operates. So, while the tech itself is far from secret, how it's applied is.
