It's more semantic bitching than anything. "Where's the link between a wolf and a canine" is stupid because they're not equivalent groupings, so you're not going to find a "link" there. Creationists ask why we haven't found the link between apes and humans, but it's a fallacious question. "What is the common ancestor of orangutans and humans" is a legitimate question, "when did apes become humans" is not.

i don't know, it seems kind of late to be getting upset with christians for not understanding the concept of cause and affect. We are talking about the same people that believe in an all powerful and all knowing God that makes something, knowing it is going to break, and holds it completely accountable for doing so.

yes, and they are stupid. the question is a valid one, but the existence of the question doesn't counter the few thousand "answers" we have gotten that says evolution is valid.

Creationism doesn't need to be taught in bio because it isn't usable. Doctors and anyone else in the medical field can not use "creationism" to help the sick and hurt. They can however use Evolution and what we have learned from researching it discover new meds, learn why we get sick, come up with new surgeries, etc, etc.

Christians need to look at this way, would you want me or omni being taught that electricity comes from Thor's hammer or from the Christian God's rage? Do you want me or him designing your future car computer and wiring layout based on that? How about your brakes? Would you like it if Diff only was taught how to add and subtract because all higher math is the work of the devil? Would you want Burg to be your lawyer if he was taught that all death is the will of God and you needed him to sue someone for killing your five very expensive Dogs?

because that shit is what you are asking for when you ask for anything other than evolution to be taught in Biology. You are asking for your kids to be taught unusable and unsafe ways of doing things. I don't know, maybe it is a result of the US moving to a service economy, but school isn't just there so you can learn a lot of shit and then go work somewhere selling shit to other people. School is there so you can learn things and USE WHAT YOU HAVE LEARNED to DO others things. What you are taught has to be functional and useable. Creationism is NOT useable.

It shouldn't even be a debate of which is right. That doesn't matter. What really matters is that your kids, when they are done with school, have been taught enough to get a job and feed themselves.
