RVD will be good in TNA.
Be interesting to see how WWE handles this with RVD. Personally, I doubt they'll do much, if anything. It's just pot, and it's not like RVD even had enough to be charged with 'intent to sell' or they wouldn't have let him post bond on the spot.
But, he's the champ and they just started the drug testing policy.
A year ago, he'd be let off. These days, he's screwed.
They won't do shit. Edge or Cena will probably use it in a punchline and that's it.
The drug policy is a fucking joke. Two mid-carders out of the 100+ guys WWE has under contract have been sent to rehab. I could see Sabu getting punished for this, but I don't think either he or RVD will be released, since they would just go straight to TNA as hot commodities after their no-compete clause is up. Maybe we'll see some suspensions and fines, but probably nothing beyond that. Avatar's idea for a punishment is pretty realistic.

- Tonight's Raw should be intriguing following the RVD/Sabu drug arrest story getting out. The main event is scheduled to be RVD, Cena and Edge in a triple threat match where all three get to choose a mystery partner. No official word on the incident from WWE as of the time I'm posting this (noon Pacific), though obviously they're well aware of what happened. One way or another, we'll know within 48 hours exactly how serious WWE is about their own Wellness Policy.
All I got to say about that is DAMN!!!Quote:

- In the wake of being faced with five violations, including drug possession, by the Ohio State Highway Patrol, WWE.com reports that Rob Van Dam and Sabu arrived at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia at 1:30 p.m. today and immediately went into a meeting with Vice President of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis.
Following the meeting, Mr. Laurinaitis told WWE.com that Rob Van Dam and Sabu will be eligible to compete tonight on RAW and tomorrow night at ECW on Sci Fi while an ongoing investigation is being conducted by World Wrestling Entertainment. The two men will be appearing in court Thursday morning at Ironton Municipal Court.
According to the Ironton Tribune, Rob Van Dam and Sabu were pulled over on U.S. 52, near Patrick Street in Hanging Rock, Ohio at about 10:15 p.m. Sunday night. The two were apparently driving from their performances at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena earlier in the evening.
According to the Ohio State Police, as reported by the Ironton Tribune, Van Dam was initially stopped for speeding. When troopers approached his vehicle, they smelled marijuana and performed a search. Troopers found RVD in possession of 18 grams of marijuana and five Vicodin, prescription pain pills. Sabu was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and also had nine pills that were not immediately identifiable, but were known to be controlled substances, according to the OSHP. Both were cited and posted bond at the scene.
Maybe they will give Sabu the axe (or just a suspension) to live up to that.Quote:
