WWE.com seemed to be very confused as to who was the new RAW World Champion following RAW. Right after the show ended, WWE.com declared Rob Van Dam as the new World Champion and posted the following as part of their RAW results:
Rob Van Dam & Ric Flair def. Triple H & Y2J
With Triple H attempting to use the World Championship as a weapon, RVD leveled the champ with a spinning heel kick and followed with the Five Star Frog Splash to get the win! RVD added the World Championship to his Intercontinental Title to become a double gold holder as RAW left the air!
Later on, however, WWE.com changed the match result to read the following:
Rob Van Dam & Ric Flair def. Triple H & Y2J
With Triple H attempting to use the World Championship as a weapon, RVD leveled the champ with a spinning heel kick and followed with the Five Star Frog Splash to get the win! RVD held up both the World Championship and Intercontinental Championship as RAW left the air!
So, it appears that Triple H IS still the RAW World Champion.
It's so pathetic that WWE.com would make such a mistake. Seriously. Rob had the belts in his hand, but come on! It was never announced as a world title match, and you would think that the person who posted that on their site would get some official word on the matter.
