Scientist have discovered that despite an increase in temperature due to green houses gases that water does not evaporate as fast as it used to. One of the biggest factors in waters ability to evaporate is not temperature but sun light. Through various experiments it was determined that the Sun, or at least the way we perceive the sun, is dimming.
They discovered that the dimming was caused by random particles of crap from our pollution bonding with cloud particles, turning them into huge water like mirrors. These water crap mirrors reflect sun like back into space and thus cool the earth down. So in a way, one form of pollution is fighting another form of pollution.
They think this dimming however is affecting weather patterns; causing droughts, hurricanes, etc.
In a classic PBS way they predict that the future could be grim if something is not done about green house gases. The US is pretty much forcing American companies to cut down on the pollutants that cause sun dimming but not so much on those that cause green houses gases. Scientist (the ones on PBS anyway) think this is a big mistake as this will cause temperatures to rise while decreasing the one thing that helped block it.
So anyone else heard about this? Any thoughts?
