This isn't the kind of thing I would normally post, but I've been having so much success with this that I had to share it with others. I don't have an acne problem, but at age 22 I was still getting the occasional pimple. I was getting sick of it, because quite frankly, I'm not a fucking teenager anymore and I shouldn't be getting pimples.
A couple weeks ago I stumbled onto this site which laid out a simple daily regimen that claimed to clear up acne. What I was doing at the time wasn't working, so I decide to try this out, and I am glad I did.

As it turns out, my current regimen works remarkably well for almost every person who follows it precisely. I encourage anyone with moderate to light acne to try it. If the regimen was an equation it would look something like this:
Gentle Cleansing + Plenty of 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide
+ Adequate Moisturization = Clear Skin
Go here for all the info.
This is how it works:
1. Wet face with warm water, then use a cleanser to clean your face.
2. Let it dry for 15 minutes.
3. Apply Benzoyl Peroxide to face.
4. Let it dry for 15 minutes.
5. Apply moisturizer to face.
And that's it.
Do that in the morning and at night.
This stuff is absorbed into your skin and kills the bacteria that may come into contact with your face. After 8 weeks you're supposed to be acne free, and the red marks from old acne will start to fade away. I am currently at week 3 and I am seeing excellent results.
My skin is smooth and acne free, any acne that does appear never grows beyond the begining stages. Anything that appears on my face is gone by the next morning.
There are some drawbacks though. Benzoyl Peroxide can be pretty harsh. During the first few days it really fucks up your face. Dryness, redness, itchiness, flaking, it really sucks. A lot of people quit after a week because it is so uncomfortable, but if you just keep at it and do the full eight weeks you will see the results. It can also be expensive (for me at least). I use all Neutrogena products for this, and mosterizer and cleanser are both around $6 each, and you will go through two bottles of each a month. But the real killer is the benzoyl peroxide. I use Neutrogena On the Spot which costs about $5 each. The thing is that this stuff only comes in really tiny tubes, because it was never designed to be used all over your face (hence the name "on the spot"), so you'll end up buying four tubes a month.
So there you have it, most of us here are not in our teens, and we should not have to walk around with zits all over our faces. So, if what you are currently doing isn't working then give this a shot.
