And the Guitar Hero II champ is........
Me!!!!! I went to the Video Games Live show in Philly last night. They had Guitar Hero II there for the first time anyone in the "public"( I guess E3 doesn't count since it isn't a "public" event) got to touch it. The crowd around it was unbelievable so I didn't even try to get near it. Just before the intermission they announce that they are having a GH II competition that started in the lobby before the show and would continue throughout the intermission. I cut out of the last song before intermission early so I could get in line to play GH II.
I get my turn and I destroy everyone else's score by around 15,000 points. Everyone had to play "You really got me" from Van Halen on medium difficulty. They didn't tell anyone what the score to beat was so you just had to give it hell. They keep me around until the competition is over and take my information. They tell me that I will be getting called up on stage and given a prize. The show comes to a close and they never call me up. :wtf: I find the guy I was speaking with at the competition and he was like WTF?!!?? happened? So he decides to find out what happened. Long story short he comes over after about a half hour and has the prize. It's a Guitar Hero skateboard(board only, no wheels)of Johnny Napalm with the British flag in the backround and the Guitar Hero logo across the bottom and a Guitar Hero pick. They escort me to the front of the line where all the VGL big wigs are sitting for a meet and greet and the first guy at the table is Marcus Henderson, the guy who recorded a bunch of the tracks for GH I and is working on GH II. He signs the board and puts a II at the side of the GH logo. He then proceeds to tell me that there are only around 200 of those ever made. :link: I try to pry some GH II info from him but he didn't bite.
As I'm leaving the building there is a camera crew there and they ask if I would talk to them about GH and how I destroyed. I talk to them for a few minutes and out the door I go and then it hits me, I'm the best Guitar Hero II player in the world. :lol: If you see some big bald headed dork wearing a blue Marvel button down shirt talking about GH on some website that's me. I need to get a new battery for my camera so I can't post pics yet, but I will later today.
