I don't think leaving things to the imagination necessarily means filling in the space, just that nothing can be better or more mood setting than a bombardment of dull imagery. Another PS example that works with limitations: Silent Hill. A difference between NES emptiness and PS emptiness is the surprise factor, what's hiding in the dark/fog. If you could see the t-rex a football field away, not quite the same. If you can see all of the fences the game has set up it doesn't seem as much like an adventure.Quote:
