After a dismal movie and a long string of none sense comcis I'm burned out on AVP, but I would love to see another strictly alien game. Perhaps a stealth game in which you can control the alien? Splinter cell with eviscerations what's not to love?

I've played most of those, but I have never seen Alien 3: The Gun before. Sega and their lack of home ports of this, Daytona 2, Lost World, etc. piss me off.
The predator voice samples in Jag AvP are still spooky. Rebellion did a great job of scaring the shit out of me with this game. Aliens move about silently, and if you don't have the motion tracker, they sneak up on you constantly and let loose that familiar loud screech noise when they attack. The Jag game was the first one to really nail the terror aspects of the series, along with nailing many other aspects from both franchises.
There was also an average Alien vs. Predator collectible card game released in 1997, and it had an Aliens: Resurrection expansion pack. What was cool about this game was it featured characters from the movies.

I only played a bit of avp jaguar over an emu and it really got me to jump a few times when a screaming xeno crept up from behind.
PC avp really has a soft spot for me because it's like the aliens really know how to look for you as opposed to doing everything by script like 2 and every other FPS before and after. Having to run around a level knowing full well that they'll get to you is a feeling that you just can't replace... It just had that special something to make it stand out.
Tell me about it. I'm still miffed about not getting Lost World.Quote:

The MSX game is pretty slow but given that the MSX1 hardware was old at that point and run 'n guns were new I would say it they did a decent job. Today, it's nothing too exciting. I find Alien 3: The Gun is still enjoyable via MAME and a mouse although it's not ideal.Quote:

Pretend it's closer to the T2 arcade, but the camera moves forward and stuff.

I just want to point out that this is the most stark and gritty of all the games that are listed.
It looks pretty good for a ps1 game.
